How to Choose the Drawer Slides?

King Slide Mall has 2 types of mounts for drawer slides : Undermount and side mount. The distance between your drawer box and the cabinet is the key for the decision of the type of mount. Please refer to the product page to learn the required space length for each product.

1.Undermount (Concealed)

Attached position: Mount to the sides of the cabinet and connect to the locking device underside the drawer box.

‧	Require less clearance between the drawer sides and the cabi net opening than the space needed for side mount slides yet specific clearance at top and bottom of cabinet opening.
‧	Perfect for highlighting the cabinetry as the slides are not visible.

2.Side Mount
Product Model : 3M52 3M89 3M01

Attached position: Mount horizontally to the sides of the drawer.

‧	Require certain space between the drawer sides and the cabinet opening.
‧	Easy installation: Beginner level.

To decide the length of the drawer slides is to measure the outer length of drawer and the distance from the front edge of cabinet to the inside face of cabinet back. Please note that drawer front width is not recommended to exceed twice the length of drawer slides.


Installation Type	Suggested: Slide Length	Method

Side Mount & Undermount	Distance-1 inch	Measure the distance from the front edge of cabinet to the inside face of cabinet back and then subtract 1 inch .

*Note: Push open function needs 4mm space for the function to work properly.

‧	3/4 extension: You can pull the drawer out 3/4 of its total length.
‧	Full extension: You can pull the drawer to full length of the slide, providing greater access.
‧	Over travel: The drawer opens beyond full extension, providing complete access.

Weight Rating= How much weight the drawer has to hold. Make sure the slides you choose are rated to hold as much weight as you require.
